Now I’m usually not a huge fan of DIY, considering a lot of mine end up as major fails. It’s all good in theory…
Haha, yup.
I do, however, think that the holidays are a great time to try some DIY. Between mantle decor, Christmas tree ornaments, holiday lights, poinsettias, etc…it adds up quickly! I’ve found a wide variety of holiday DIY that look pretty hard to mess up, but don’t have that “my 3rd grader made this in art class” look!
So why not save a few bucks and give your home a classy, cost effective update this holiday season?
1. Wreaths are an easy DIY- and you can pick a few different styles to display on various doors. Loving this all white wreath, the silver leaf wreath & the rustic chic burlap wreath.
2. A new favorite of mine is the wooden sign. Display these on your front porch, by the fireplace, or even in a guest bedroom/random nook in your home.
3. Chalkboard paint is always a good idea, especially around the holidays. My favorite ways include the holiday cheese tray, this above the mantle decor & above the bar area.
4. We’re all looking for a creative, cute way to display the holiday cards we get! How about with this framed wreath, in this window frame, or on this antique drying rack.
And this isn’t really “DIY” but how damn cute is this 6 pack to take to a holiday party/cookie swap?!:
Which will you be trying? Any great DIY holiday tips I missed?
