About Alexis
Born and raised in the beautiful state of Georgia, I am a true Southerner with a love for college football (Go Dawgs!), warm weather and collard greens. In 2013, I took a leap of faith and moved from the Deep South to the South End of Boston. The transition was tough at first, but I have grown to love New England and all that this beautiful area has to offer. The history, the architecture, the beaches, the mountains, the seafood…there is so much to enjoy here.
Currently, I am living in a charming brownstone with my husband, Terry, and our French bulldog, Mela. Most of my free time is now spent either designing spaces for clients or planning our next vacation. The two are so intertwined as much of my design inspiration comes from traveling to new countries. I hope that the content and information I bring you will help inspire you as well!
About South End Style
When I made the big move, I wanted a way to share my life in Boston with my loved ones back home. Given that I was in a new city, decorating my new home and traveling to exciting new places, I knew that I had to document it all. Starting this blog was an easy, natural way for me to connect with them. I put my Journalism degree to use and started writing.
South End Style has evolved over the years and truly encompasses my two passions – interior design and travel! The people I’ve met, the places I’ve traveled and the spaces I’ve designed are all a result of this blog and its followers. So I want thank you for stopping by and spending your time here. I hope you leave inspired!
