Once the apartment lease was signed & the living room was measured, the first thing we did was head out for some sofa shopping. When living in a small space, you end up spending 90% of your time in the living room, so it’s tres important to have a sofa that is comfortable, beautiful & affordable.
Initially, we picked out this sofa, which was so comfortable & provided a ton of seating:
After scoring an awesome deal on it & waiting 10 weeks for delivery, you can imagine my frustration when it Didn’t. Fit. Through. The. Door. I made the poor delivery guys try for at least 30 minutes, even though the sofa was clearly wedged between the wall & the staircase…
After having a mini-meltdown and a severe Ross Gellar moment (<–seriously, best Friends moment ever), it was decided that a smaller sofa was necessary.
After many hours of measuring, shopping, and re-measuring, I narrowed it down to 4 main contenders:
