Outdoor space has been on everyone’s mind lately! In fact, I just had a site visit this weekend on one and I finished up 4 different patio designs last week…Spring has finally arrived people! Today’s post will be short and sweet but I want to give you 5 patio designs under $1500 each, as well as some inspiration pictures for you. Now is the time to get your outdoor space plan in order so that you’ll be able to enjoy it all season!
PATIO 1: BLACK AND WHITE
This is actually one of the designs that I put together for my own back deck. We’ve got a small space off the dining room and we want to be able to spend time mostly lounging. We plan on incorporating a lot of plants and flowers so simplicity was key.
PATIO 2: CITY CHIC
This space was created for a newlywed couple living in the heart of Boston with a small back deck. This space will be perfect for entertaining friends, having coffee or an afternoon drink with friends. All of the furniture pieces are lightweight, versatile and functional.
PATIO 3: CLASSIC COMFY
This was created for a couple that wanted a matching set with a classic, simple, monochromatic feel. They prefer browns, blacks and tans as their patio is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers.
PATIO 4: GARDEN OASIS
This was designed for a retired couple who has a spacious backyard deck. The wife is a great gardener with various, colorful flowerpots, planters and greenery around the deck so they wanted a neutral setup.

PATIO 5: FAMILY FRIENDLY
This screened in porch design was created for a family with two kids and a dog. They need a functional space with both lounge seating and a dining area, along with durable furniture that is comfortable for their family. Not pictured are the wet bar and outdoor grill space. Also, it’s admittedly not under $1500 but could be, if furniture purchased elsewhere.
I hope these five patio designs inspire you to create your own outdoor oasis! Below are three spaces that inspired me:
