A couple of weeks ago I shared our new living room design plan. Fingers crossed that all of our furniture arrives in mint condition this week and that I’ll have some pictures to share of our final space. In the meantime, I wanted to share my plan for the bedroom. The master in our last brownstone was oversized and incredibly spacious – what a treat! Unfortunately, our new one is much smaller and a tight squeeze. We sacrificed a small master for a second bedroom and a larger living space; a trade-off that we were happy to make! Luckily, we were able to fit our king bed and opted to keep it rather than downsizing to a queen. It may be a wee bit snug in there, but I would rather have a great mattress more than anything! Who’s with me?
Keeping true to my design style of classic modern, and because of the small space I’m working with, our color scheme is neutral. We have a new bed and dresser which are scaled perfectly for this room. The nightstand situation is to be determined but below is what I am thinking. Given the small amount of surface space on the nightstands we will be utilizing wall sconces instead of table lamps – a simple and spacious swap. Lastly, I have updated the bedding. The previous bedding had a few stains on it (thanks to a squishy faced little Frenchie we know) and I was eager to bring in more color. Take a look at my new plan and comment below to let me know what you think!
Items: dresser / bed / mirror / nightstands / hardware / sconces / juju hat / lumbar pillow / patterned pillows
