Believe it or not, Fall is officially here. The temps are dropping, the leaves are changing and we definitely feel a shift in the air here in Boston. Since we moved into our new home in August, I have admittedly been very slow in decorating. Part of that is because I have been traveling for work (over 50% of the time since our move-in date) and part of it is because I really want to be intentional with my decorating. We tend to try to rush things and get it all done right away, but in this case I think a more thoughtful pace will prove to be beneficial in the end. All of that said, I am thrilled that our big, brand new deck is completed! We moved the outdoor furniture from our old brownstone, added a few new pieces and accentuated with all of the plants and flowers we could find. It truly feels like an outdoor oasis. We have entertained multiple times already and there is nothing we love more than hosting a happy hour party outside with our friends.
Now is the perfect time to buy Fall home decor pieces. Personally, I prefer to avoid Halloween and Thanksgiving themed items and stick to more Fall staples – chunky knit blankets, plaid patterns, rich colors and warmer textures. My friends at Wayfair have so many incredible pieces so I want to share a few that I picked up and a few that I have my eye on. Be sure to shop their Fall outdoor, decor and kitchen & tabletop sections for more design inspo!
